A Hot Buttery Autumn
October 11, 2009 in Recipes by Annacia

What a delicious and comforting drink for Autumn and Winter. I made a small trial amount as a test run for the coming holidays and as soon as I finish this writing I’m going to make the full amount of butter mix to keep in the freezer to use as wanted. This is mellow and beautifully spiced and would be wonderful to have hot and ready for arriving guests coming in from the outdoor chill. You’ll want to use real butter for this, it’s so very worth it. You could also try this with alcoholic cider if you really want something with a kick but the 3 adults that sampled my test run loved it as is and you can share this with the kids.
Makes: 18-24 servings

- 1 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground anise
