Makes about 5 cups.
- 1/3cup mayonnaise
- 3tablespoons sour cream
- 2tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1/2teaspoon salt
- 1/8teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2lb green cabbage, cored and thinly sliced (6 cups)
- 1carrot, shredded
- 1/4cup finely chopped green bell pepper
- 1/4cup finely chopped onion
DIRECTIONS Whisk together mayonnaise and sour cream in a large bowl until smooth, then whisk in vinegar, salt, and pepper. Add remaining ingredients and toss well. Let stand, uncovered, at room temperature, tossing occasionally, until wilted, about 30 minutes.
